She was born in Enosburg Falls on May 28, 1920 to the late Rollin & Eva (Ploof) Casavant.

Hildred was a life-long resident of Enosburg Falls and a graduate from Enosburg Falls High School class of 1938. She married Clarence Tatro in 1955. Most of her working career was spent as the Librarian of the Enosburgh Public Library, she started in 1974 and served the community for over 35 years. Hildred was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Choir for many years.

She enjoyed traveling, especially on bus trips with her son-in-law’s band and camping trips. Her favorite hobbies included sewing, knitting, reading and assembling miniature doll houses. Hildred was able to stay at home up until her passing because of the care from her close friend and caregiver, Joanne Garrow.

Hildred is survived by her daughter, Kaye Mehaffey and her husband Frank of St. Albans. Besides her parents, Hildred was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Tatro and her brother, Douglas Casavant.

Hildred’s family would like to thank The Villa and Northwestern Medical Center for the excellent care she received.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 62 Missisquoi St., Enosburg Falls. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.

Tammy graduated from Richford High School in 1979. Her yearbook quote read “Live life to the fullest and always be cheerful!” and she lived her life in just that way. Tammy had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up any room. She married Jeffrey Shover Sr. on July 10, 1982 and they made their home in Richford. She worked as a beautician for several years. Her favorite hobbies included cooking, baking, playing her clarinet and spending time with her friends and family. Tammy always looked at life through rose colored glasses and she was affectionately known as “everybody’s Mother”.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Shover Sr. of Richford; her children, Jeffrey Shover Jr. and his wife Jolene of Berkshire, Savannah Shover of St. Albans and Danna Shover and his significant other Sarah Taylor of Winooski; her grandchildren, Syrianna Randall, Tylee, Taygon & Ashlyn Shover, Bailey LaFromboise and Myah Fresn; her mother, Barbara Samboruk and her husband Rudolph Sr. of Churchill, TN; her siblings, Kelly Kelly and her husband Peter of Kingsport, TN, Bobby Lovelette and his significant other Karen of Berkshire, Rudolph Samboruk III of Dallas, TX and Elizabeth Samboruk of Leander, TX; several nieces & nephews including, Tyler Lovelette, Maria Gervais and her husband Chad, and Ryan, Danielle & Noah Kelly and several siblings-in-law including, Robyn Vance and a special friend, Mark Corkrin. Tammy was predeceased by her father, Robert Lovelette Sr; her in-laws, Robert & Joyce Shover and a special friend, Jean Bergeron.

Tammy’s family would like to thank the staff from the University of Vermont Medical Center, especially Rev. Rick and Nicki and family friends, Rick & Judy Hoyt.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT. Interment will be held this spring in the Richford Center Cemetery.

Kennison Plumbing & Heating. Upon Richard’s untimely passing in 1971 she embraced the role of a devoted single Mom to her 5 children. She also worked as a bookkeeper for the Enosburg Falls Water & Light Dept. for many years.

She belonged to the 45 Card Club, American Legion Auxiliary Post #42 of Enosburg Falls, and the Enosburgh Fire Dept. Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Deborah & Allen Demar of Enosburg Falls, David & Kelley Kennison of Berkshire, Dale & Laurie Kennison of St. Albans, Danny & Tammy Kennison of Berkshire, and Doreen & Kenneth Laplant of Berkshire; cherished grandmother to 14 Grandchildren & 18 Great Grandchildren; her brother, Richard Longe of Sheldon; her sister, Kathryn Dulude of Enosburg Falls; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Barb was predeceased by her first husband and father of her children, Richard Kennison; her second husband, Merrill Jeffords; her siblings, Marjorie Comings, Bernice Ryea, Hilda Duffy, Geraldine Newton, Leonard, Clifton & Floyd Longe; her sister-in-law, Shirley Longe; and her brother-in-law, Joseph Dulude.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 222 Missisquoi St., Enosburg Falls with Rev. Karl Hahr celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.

Bernolene worked as a cook for many years at Enosburg Falls High School and the Enosburg Falls Country Club. She was also a talented seamstress and wall paperer. Bernolene, along with her 2 sisters, was well known for her beautiful singing voice; she continued to sing up until her passing. Her home was the “gathering spot” for her nieces, nephews and children’s friends. They all have many fond memories of growing up at the Roddy home in Enosburg Falls.

She is survived by her children, Terrance “Mickey” Roddy and his wife Gisele of The Villages, FL, Sandra Bacon and her husband Nate of Farmington, NH and Poinsettia, FL and David Roddy and his wife Georgette of Highgate; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Lavallee and her husband Rob, Patrick Roddy and his wife Heidi, Chris Bacon and his wife Amy, Jennifer Willey and her wife Jenna, Melissa Bacon, Renee Roddy and her significant other Daren, Joseph Roddy and his wife Crystal, Beth Shepard and her husband Chris, Matthew Roddy, and Jonathan Roddy and his significant other Erica; 15 great grandchildren; her sister, Natalie “Nan” Guilmette of Enosburg Falls; brother-in-law, Rolla Barry of Hyde Park; very special nieces, Virginia Kilmer & Mary Wright and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, Bernolene was predeceased by her husband, Terrance Roddy; her sister, Audrey Barry; her brothers, Hubert “Steve” Messier and his wife Phyllis and J.
