| Obituary | Oct 1, 2019 | OBITUARY: RICHFORD – Sandra J. Embury, age 64, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Newport on November 5, 1954, the daughter of the late James and Inzy (Buzzell) Garrow Sr.
Sandra graduated from Richford High School in 1972 where she met the love of her life Leonard Embury. Leonard and Sandra were married for 47 years, and in that time, they had two wonderful and beautiful daughters, Kris and Stacy whom she adored and loved.
Sandra spent many years and hours as a caregiver for local facilities and also as a private caregiver in homes. She loved being a caregiver and greatly enjoyed and felt much joy in her career. Much of the that time was spent at Our Lady of the Meadows. She met and made many friends and coworkers that she admired and respected. Sandra will be greatly missed by all.
Sandra is survived by her loving, loyal, husband and best friend, Leonard Embury of Richford; loving daughters, Kris Embury and her spouse Summer Embury of Enosburg Falls; and Stacy Gaudette and her spouse Jason of Highgate; grandson, Dylan Seymour of Richford whom she loved and adored with a huge part of her heart; siblings, James Garrow Jr. and his wife Teddy of Enosburg Falls, Robert Garrow and his wife Susan of Berkshire, Shirley Perry and her husband Gerald of St. Albans, Gordon Garrow and his wife Rita of Richford, and Linda Marcy and her husband Donny of Richford; extended Embury family, Carol, Glenn, Janet, and their families that have always been a big part of her life. Family was very important to Sandra.
Besides her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her niece Tonya Beaudry; father-in-law, Eugene Embury; mother-in-law, Uldene Embury; brother-in-law, Carlton Embury; and many nieces and nephews that were very special to her.
Sandra was meant to be in the profession of caring for the needs of others. She leaves many special friends and co-workers that were so very dear to her. Sandra was so very thankful for the great support and love from everyone that touched her life. She touched so many lives and will never be forgotten.
Sandra’s family would like to extend a special thank you to The Notch staff, Dr. Sanders and staff, hospitals, Home Health, and Hospice.
A memorial celebration will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.

He was born in St. Albans on April 9, 1952 to the late Eugene and Uldene Veda (Rushford) Embury.
Lenny grew up in Richford and attended Richford High School where he met the love of his life, Sandra Garrow. The two made a home together in Richford and had two daughters and a grandson that were the center of their life. Lenny worked for the Davis Farm for many years when he was young, and then went on his own to become a carpenter, he was self employed for several years and also worked for Sam Smith and Mike Gosselin. He enjoyed deer and rabbit hunting, especially with his hunting dog Nikki, fishing, and spending time with his grandson on his tractor. He will be remembered for his witty and spunky sense of humor, and his big, kind heart.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Kris Embury and her wife Summer Embury of Enosburg Falls; and Stacy Gaudette and her husband Jason of Highgate; grandson, Dylan Seymour and his significant other Vanessa Archambault of Richford; sister, Janet Whittemore and her husband Butch of Eden; brother, Glen Embury and his wife Barb of Richford; an exchange student that became part of the family, Karen Lastovka and her family of Germany; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Lenny was predeceased by his loving, and loyal wife of 47 years Sandra Embury on September 27, 2019; brother, Carlton Embury; niece, Tonya Beaudry; father-in-law, James Garrow; and mother-in-law, Inzy (Buzzell) Garrow.
A private graveside service will be held to honor both Leonard and Sandra at the convenience of the family in their final resting place at Hillside Cemetery in Richford.

He was born in Montgomery on June 11, 1930 the son of the late Donald H. & Lillian (Green) Garrow.
In his early years Eddie worked on several area dairy farms. During the Korean War Eddie was drafted into the U.S. Army on August 3, 1954 and received his honorable discharge July 31, 1956. Upon his discharge he went back to working on farms in the area before becoming the custodian for the Enosburg Falls Elementary School which he faithfully did for 37 years retiring in 2003 as the Head Custodian. He also drove school bus during that time and for several years after. Eddie was known by many people around the county and will be remembered for his sense of humor.
He is survived by his son, David Garrow of Middlebury; his sisters, Janice Longe Marston of Enosburg Falls, Gyneth Hauter of Ocean, NJ, and Helen Ashton of St. Albans; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Eddie was predeceased by his wife, Joyce (Pudvah) Garrow; and a brother, James Garrow.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. Interment will be held this spring in the Richford Center Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the funeral.

He was born on June 22, 1928 in Long Branch, NJ and was raised in West Long Branch, NJ. Bob worked in the Building business all of his life. He learned his trade with Slocum and Sons and eventually started his own business in the same field. He also franchised with Everlite Aluminum Greenhouses out of Cleveland, Ohio.
He served in the National Guard from 1950-1958. He was also a charter member and Vice-President of the Monmouth Shore Points Motorcycle Club in Neptune, N.J. from 1947-1955. Bob enjoyed spending time at home and working in his shop. He also loved spending time with his family and friends; this is how he enjoyed life most. He will be remembered for his willingness to help others.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Oscar D. and Grace (Obre) Hauter, and a brother, Edward D. Hauter. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gyneth Hauter; his children, Robert D. Hauter of Bridgeville, DE, Lori Mulder of Katy, TX, and Scott Hauter and his wife Catherine of Neptune City, NJ; his grandchildren, Eric Mulder and his wife Jennifer, Jamie Mulder, Alexandria Nash and Olivia Nash; his great-grandchildren, Garrett McCart, Averie Mulder and Audrey Mulder; his siblings, Eleanore Aras of Red Bank, Richard Hauter and his wife Dorothy of Oceanport, Betty Oldford of Live Oak, FL. and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon with the service beginning at 11:00 am at Bongarzone Funeral Home, 2400 Shafto Road, Tinton Falls, In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
