ObituaryJun 9, 1912  OBITUARY: June 8, 1912 The death of Nathan Coburn Parker, one of Lisbon's old and well known residents occurred Saturday afternoon. He had been in failing health for a number of years, but was stricken quite suddenly last week Wednesday (5th).

Mr. Parker was born June 6, 1836, on Sugar Hill in the old brick house now known as the Tom Shea place. He was a son of Kendall Parker, who was a brother of the late Joseph Parker, and Julia Young Parker. Sixty-five years ago he came to Lisbon village, to the house which he had since occupied.

He had always been in the employ of the Parker and Young company since he began as
a young man to work, having acted as clerk in the store in the early days of the company. Later, when the factory started, he was a surveyor, a bookkeeper and was also employed in different parts of the mill, until eight years ago when he was obliged to give up work on account of failing health.

He married Lucinda Sherman, daughter of Smith Sherman of Lisbon in May 1861, and
four children were born to them. Mrs. Parker died Nov. 3, 1872. Mr. Parker was town
clerk in the early 70's and for 25 years was clerk of the Grove Hill cemetery association.
He was one of the oldest members of Kane Lodge of Masons, of which he was made a
member in 1859, also of Franklin chapter, of which he had been a member since 1867, and a member of St. Gerard commandery, Hiram council and Lafayette chapter, O.E.S. He was tyler of the lodge for 22 years and was a constant attendant until prevented by failing health.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W. K. Neal of Milberta, Ont., Mrs. Charles
McKown and Miss Nellie Parker of Lisbon, and one son, Gilbert B., of Briarcliff Manor,
N.Y., and 10 grandchildren.

The funeral was held Tuesday at 2:30 at the Methodist church, Rev. Mr. Corliss
officiating. The funeral was conducted by Kane lodge and the Masonic quartet sang.
Burial was in Grove Hill Cemetery.

This newspaper obituary was found in an old scrap book that once belonged to Bea Clark.

Will* Joseph Kenyon left a will. Due to the will of Joseph Eanos, it is possible that Joseph Kenyon had two daughters prior to the following list of children. In the will of Joseph Eanos, probated in 1762, two Kenyon granddaughters, Marcy and Katherine, were mentioned. He bought and deeded land in Coventry and his wife Catherine signed the deeds, 1773, 1774, 1778.
