She was born April 30, 1925 in East Pinnacle, Quebec Canada the daughter of the late Adolphus & Lorena (Fecteau) King.

Phyllis was a resident of Jay & Berkshire most of her life where along with her husband Rob, owned and operated dairy farms for many years until their retirement in 1979. She was very dedicated to her cattle and took charge of the breeding and feeding and also helped with the field work. From 1979 to 2007 they made their home in Richford and from 2007 to 2016 she made her home at the Franklin Carriage House, Our Lady of the Meadows and The Villa. Phyllis was very active in the Richford community and took great pride in volunteering countless hours to the Richford Ambulance Service. She was also a devoted member of the Richford First Baptist Church and read her Bible every day.

During her retirement she and Rob enjoyed going for rides and breakfast almost on a daily basis. She enjoyed playing games (scrabble) especially with her grandchildren, doing puzzles, watching Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Grace Fournier and her husband Roger of Franklin, Carey Hemond of Richford, John Waterhouse of Berkshire, Kim Waterhouse and his wife Sharon of Lewiston, ID, and Mark Waterhouse and his wife Sharon of Richford; her grandchildren (Grace’s) – Rena & Gary Menard, Judi & John Rainville, Emily & Chad Clough and R.J. & Dawn Fournier; (Carey’s ) – Robbie Hemond and friend Lorraine Wright, Michael & Tracey Hemond and Wendy & Jason Leclaire; (John’s) – Jason & Lucinda Waterhouse and Johanna Waterhouse and her friend Yogi Breault; (Kim’s) – Raichelle & Milan Barton; (Mark’s) – Jessica & Bill Kett and Josh & Cristy Waterhouse; her great grandchildren, Selena & Maria Menard, Jake & Lexa Dandurand, Haley & Sadie Clough, Luc, Keeleigh, Logan & Lillianna Fournier, Brett, Chelsea, Brady & Shawnie Hemond, Jacob & Jaden Waterhouse, Maggie Breault, Jade Steiner-Murray, Ryder Barton, Jayna & Adam Kett, and Haddie Waterhouse; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Rev. Jason McConnell officiating. Interment will follow in the Richford Center Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the funeral.

He was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Sutton, Quebec Canada, the son of the late Charles and Grace (Gibney) Waterhouse.

Rob worked as a logger as a young man in Canada with Ken Sherrer. He entered the Canadian Army during World War II, serving in the Forestry Corps in Scotland and was also at the Battle of the Bulge. Following his honorable discharge from the service he moved to Vermont and married Phyllis King on May 15, 1947. He farmed in Jay and Berkshire, retiring in 1977. Following his retirement from farming he worked in construc-tion with Fabian Rice and cut firewood with Gabe Godin. He enjoyed spending time visiting with friends at McAllister's Chain Saw Shop and George LeClair's garage.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Waterhouse, residing at the Carriage House in Franklin; his daughters, Grace Fournier and her husband, Roger, of Franklin, and Carey Hemond of Richford; sons, and their wives, John and Debbie Waterhouse of Berkshire, Kim and Sharon Waterhouse of Lewistown, ID, and Mark & Sharon Waterhouse of Richford; grandchildren: Rena Menard and husband, Gary, Judi Rainville and husband, John, Emily Clough and husband, Chad, R.J. He was born Nov. 6, 1927, in St. Armand, Quebec Canada, the son of the late Adolphus A. and Lorena (Fecteau) King.

Hollis was a resident of Richford most of his life. He worked as a carpenter and a construction worker until disability forced him to retire at the age of 45. He was a member of the Eagles Club of Jeffersonville and attended the Lighthouse Assembly of God church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved his music, playing in the bands, Smokey and the Mountaineers & the Green Mountain Troubadours, which played at various functions and nursing homes in the area. Most of all he was a devoted and loving husband and father making sure his family came first.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene (Domingue) King of Richford. They were married Sept. 8, 1951. He is also survived by his children, Helen Hoose of South Burlington, Maggie Monty and her husband, Robert, of Hinesburg, Barbara Embury and her husband, Glenn, of Berkshire, Peter King and his friend, Patty, of Lincoln, Neb., Lori Sampietro and her husband, Keith, of Montgomery, Dale King of Richford, Holly Ryea and her husband, George, of Richford; former daughter-in-law, Alice LaFrance of Georgia; his grandchildren, Angel Siple and her husband, Troy, April Winegar and her husband, Chris, Amber Rock and her husband, Rodney, Travis Broe, Kami Broe and her friend, Nate Marshall, Sarah Jewett and her husband, SSGT Randy Jewett, Patrick Curtis, Myron Embury, Jessie Ryea, Jerica Broe, Samantha King, Trever Ryea, and Austin King; many great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; his sisters, Phyllis Waterhouse of Franklin, Betty King, and Mary Goddard, both of Richford; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Bobby and Marcia Gross, Al Stanley, Raymond Monty, Wilfred and Eunice Root, Larry and Jane Snyder, and Max Taylor and Arlene Whitehead. ObituaryFeb 28, 2019  OBITUARY: Anita L. (Champigny) Folsom, 99, long time resident of Brownington, VT passed away peacefully in Newport on February 26, 2019. She was born on October 11, 1919 in Newport to Calixte and Exilpere (Labonte) Champigny.

On July 2, 1938 she married George Claron Folsom who predeceased her in 2002.

Mrs. Folsom was a devoted wife and mother, whose skill for gardening never went unnoticed. As a pastime, she potted plants on her porch and went up to her son Allen’s vegetable fields. Anita and her husband farmed on Maple Hill Road in Barton, Vermont for twenty years. She worked in the fields alongside her husband as well as doing all the boiling during maple sugar season. In 1965 Anita and her husband sold their farm in Barton and moved to Florida where they resided for many years. She was affectionately known as “Grammie Folsom” to the neighborhood children. Later in life Anita visited schools sharing the legacy of her life during her childhood. Anita was a long time member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church of Orleans.

She will be sadly missed by her children: May Perry-Fortin and husband Rene of Holland, Vermont, Eva Forcier and her husband Peter of Maple Lake, Minnesota, David Folsom and his wife Patty of Lakeland, Florida, Kenneth Folsom and his wife Patricia of Peru, New York, and Allen Folsom of Brownington, Vermont. Anita is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is survived by one sister: Laura Ida Marineau of Montpelier, VT and by several nieces and nephews. Anita was predeceased by her daughter Rachel Lee Lamoureux and also by her siblings: Wilfred Champigny, Camille Champigny, Lillian Brien, Germaine Moeykens, Rosa Nadeau, Juliette Boisvert, Lena Jacques, Pauline Champigny, and Marie Champigny.

She was predeceased by sons-in-law Noel Perry, Gerard Lamoureux, daughter-in-law Sarah Bensenhaver and grandson Mark Perry.

Friends may call from 5-7 P.M. on Sunday March 3, 3019 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford & Bouffard Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill Road, Newport.
