ObituaryApr 26, 2003  OBITUARY: HARWICH - Janice S. (Garrow) Leary of Harwich, a former Chelmsford resident who was an artist, animal lover and sports fan, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham after a long illness. She was 47.
She was born in Chelmsford on Nov. 18, 1955, daughter of the late Arnold "Bud" Garrow and Lucille (Brooks) Garrow, who survives her and lives in Harwich.

She graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1973 and attended Fitchburg State College. Mrs. Leary, who moved to Brewster in 1988, enjoyed drawing, painting, swimming, boating and animals.

While living in Chelmsford, she was a member of the Women's International Bowling League of Chelmsford and played golf at Mount Pleasant Golf Club in Lowell.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her twin sister, Jane Garrow of Harwich; a brother, Harry Garrow; her paternal grandfather, Fred Parkhurst of Brewster; also her niece and nephew and many aunts, uncles, cousins and her great-aunt.

Private funeral services were held in Orleans, interment in the Brewster Cemetery.
