The son of Frank and Rena (Baccei) Garrow, Tommy was born in Rutland April 3, 1937, on the same day and in the same hospital as his wife of 55 years, Marie (Savery) Garrow, whom he married on October 26, 1957, at St. Peter Church.

Growing up, Tommy attended MSJ Class of '56, and began boxing at an early age, becoming a Silver Mitten Champion and later a Golden Glove Champion.

On entering the Marines during the time of the Korean War, he was chosen to be a member of the Marine Corps boxing team headquartered in Quantico, Va., that traveled all over the country. Upon leaving the service, Tommy moved to Claremont, N.H., where he began a professional boxing career, becoming the New England Champion, and started his lifelong profession as a meat cutter. He also became the flagman at Claremont Speedway and was a proud member of the Claremont Volunteer Fire Department.

Tommy would then move back to his hometown of Rutland, opening his own meat market/grocery store on State Street. Soon after his return, he fed his passion for boxing by forming and coaching an amateur team, turning many local fighters into Vermont state and New England champions. Tommy won several coaching awards but, more importantly, created a bond and friendship with his fighters that will live on long after he's gone. His dedication and theirs helped make the Rutland team one of the most successful in the state's Golden Glove history.

Surviving are his wife, Marie of Pittsford; one son, Mark T. Garrow of Lexington, N.C; three daughters, Kim Garrow of Portland, Ore., Lisa Kebalka of Claremont, N.H., and Jeanie Magoon of Pittsford; along with six grandchildren, Lucas Magoon, Derek Kebalka, Breanna Garrow, Alec Kebalka, Marissa Garrow and Ashtyn Kebalka.

He is also survived by three brothers, Edward Garrow of Proctor, Gerald Garrow of Rutland and James Garrow of Austin, Texas; one sister, Irene Fridinger of York, Pa; nieces, nephews; and his godchildren, E. Conrad Garrow and Christine Garrow Rikhy.

Tommy was predeceased by two brothers, Gene Garrow and Paul Garrow, and by two sisters, Beverly Velett and Eleanor Corbett.

He was a member of St. Peter Church, American Legion Post #31 and VFW Post #648.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Church in Rutland with a reception held immediately following at the American Legion.

Burial will take place later this spring in East Clarendon Cemetery.

Tommy's family would like to thank the staff at ICU Rutland Regional Medical Center for the exceptional care they provided.

Suzanne attended Richford High School; She worked at National Community Bank in Enosburg, during her time at the bank she worked hard to support her patrons, many would say if it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t have what I have today, always willing to go above and beyond.

She was an avid community member in Richford she was always willing to help wherever needed. Her hobbies included cross county skiing, gardening, trips to the beach, and playing 500 with her card club. Her favorite holiday was Christmas she loved the spirt of Christmas the music and time spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband James Rhodes and their two children daughter Mary Rhodes, son Shane and his wife Krista Rhodes: four grandchildren, James Rhodes Mason, Cameron Rhodes, Harper Cole, Barrett Rhodes. Mother Joyce Shover Tessier, Siblings; Brian and Sue Tessier, Ricky and Cher Tessier, Kenny and Nancy Tessier, Jean and George Jacobs, Valerie and Rodney Lussier, Dale Tessier, Randy Tessier, Kevin and Carol Tessier, Sonja and Doug Lacross, Tammy and Burt Combs, Jeffery Tessier, Denis and Heidi Tessier; Sister In-law Cathy and Chad Rhodes Gibney Brother In-law Jack Rhodes and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends Sally Desseault,Lisa Phillips, and Heidi Broullette. She was born in Highgate on January 11, 1940, to the late Charles and Mildred (Warner) Quebec.

Lola was married to the late Edeas (Eddie) Jettie on November 15, 1958. Following 44 years of marriage, he predeceased her on December 19,2002. Lola’s focus was always on her family. She had a steadfast can due spirit exemplified in learning to drive in her 40’s and overcoming medical challenges. She was employed by the Peoples Trust Company and US I&NS.

She is survived by her children: Cindy Metayer (Wyman) of Franklin, Mary Lou Jettie (Patrick Miller) of Belvidere, Maurice Jettie (Michelle) of Fairfield, Timothy Jettie of Fairfield, and Christina Rublee (Douglas) of Libby MT. Lola was especially fond of her grandchildren; Ryan, Michael and Raymond Metayer and Grace Mayor; Lou-Anne Wood and Jessica Dittmar; Derek, Nicholas, and Carrie Jettie; Krista Florio, Hollie Curtis, Kattie, Chris and Cody Jettie; and Dylan and Bethanne Rublee. She was a beloved Gigi to 14 great-grandchildren. Her surviving sisters are Thelma Long of Boswana, NH and Carla Cahill (Tom) of Strafford, NH. She was also predeceased by her brother and four sisters.

In keeping with the family wishes Lola’s Life Celebration will be in the spring at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church with interment at Sheldon Village Cemetery.

He was born in Bakersfield VT on February 10, 1925, to the late Justin Lee Thompson and Lillian Alice (Reynolds). He was a railroad foreman for 31 years at Central Vermont Railroad.

William’s hobbies were ice fishing, playing cards, puzzles, lawn sales, rebuilding old lamps, hunting, and camping in Eden. He was an avid Red Sox fan. William will be remembered as being a hardworking, honest, and dedicated family man.

He is survived by his sons; Richard (Dick) and wife Sandra, James (Sam) and wife Maryann, Gary (Gub) and wife Arlene and William Jr. (Turk) and significant other Michelle, Daughters; Ruth (Ruthie) Laroche and Sandra (Sandy)Giroux and husband Warren. Daughters In-laws Celine and Elaine Thompson; sister In-law Ramona Dubie; Along with 23 Grandchildren,41 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine, sons; David and Steven Thompson, grandson; Eric Thompson, son in-law; Allan Laroche, brothers; James and Gordon Thompson, Sisters; Eunice Hance, Florence Hakey, Bertha Jacobs, and Anna White

Family and friends are invited to William’s Life Celebration events to include visitation on Friday January 21, 2022, from 4:00 pm -7:00pm at Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT 05488. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 65 Canada St. Swanton, VT 05488. Interment will follow in the spring at Riverside Cemetery. Masking is encouraged. Funeral service will be live streamed through the Goss Life Celebration Home Facebook page.
