Predeceased by his parents, a sister, Norma Bywater, and a brother, William Graves, Richard passed away in his sleep of complications related to dementia at San Jacinto Care Center, Hemet, CA on March 23, 2014. He is survived by siblings Harold Graves, Escondido, CA, Phillip Graves, Bumpass, VA, and Julienne Miller, Laurel, DE. Richard attended Woodstock High School (Class of 1952) and studied Business Management at University of Vermont, Burlington, VT. In his spare time, he engaged in Summer stock theatre at Weston Playhouse, Weston, VT. He received a scholarship to Pasadena Playhouse, Pasadena, CA where he studied acting and set design, and performed in several Playhouse productions while working as a bank teller in Pasadena. He spent two years on active duty in the Army at Fort Polk, LA, where he was assigned to the Finance Division. After his Army stint, he spent the rest of his career working for several insurance companies and lending institutions performing risk assessments and safety inspections of industrial and domestic buildings and facilities in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Diego counties. Richard's engaging smile and sunny disposition will be missed by all who came to know him. Interment at a later date will be in Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona Del Mar, CA. No services will be held. Remembrance donations in lieu of flowers to San Jacinto Senior Center, 625 S. Pico Ave., San Jacinto, CA. 92583

ObituaryAug 19, 2019  OBITUARY: Robert Lawrence Bousquet, 86, of Irasburg, VT passed away on August 15, 2019 in Barton, VT. He was born on July 29,1933 in Lowell, VT to Azirias Bousquet and Gladys Nadeau Snyder. On March 6, 2011 he married Joan S. Berwick who survives him.

Robert was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing country music with family and friends, campfires, golf, winters in Florida, trips to Connecticut, hunting and fishing. He was a self-taught guitar and bass player, he was a talented singer, he was very patriotic, loved his family and their get togethers. He also hit a hole-in-one at the Barton Golf Course. He was a member of the American Legion, Orleans post # 23, Central lodge # 62 F&AM, Irasburg.

HE is survived by his children Robert and his wife Sarah, Linda and her husband David, Mark and his wife Elaine, Joseph, Omer and his wife Donna, and Tammy and her husband Blair, step children Susan Patten and her husband Steve, Robert Fournier and his wife Frieda, and Richard Fournier and his wife Mary. He is also survived by his brother Napolean, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, special niece Rose and Charles Mason and family, friends Marcel, Larry and Wanda, and Lawrence Earl.

He was predeceased by his first wife Pearl Wrightington Bousquet, brothers Roger, Leon, Edward, Omer and Azirias, sisters Reba Cifarelli, Corrine Termini, Grace Appleby, Elizabeth Guyette and Marion Meiers. He was also predeceased by two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 24,2019 at 3:00 P.M. at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford & Bouffard Funeral Home 4670 Darling Hill Road, Newport, VT. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday August 24,2019 from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of the funeral. Internment to follow at Irasburg Cemetery with full military honors.

ObituaryFeb 5, 2002  OBITUARY: ST. ALBANS -- Mary Sarah Machia, 87, a lifelong resident of this area, passed away early Monday morning, Feb. 4, 2002, at Holiday House Nursing Facility in St. Albans. She was born in St. Albans June 21, 1914, the daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Robtoy) Hakey. She was predeceased by her husband, William Machia.

Mary was a communicant of St. Louis Church in Highgate and a member of the Franklin County Senior Citizens. She enjoyed embroidering, crocheting and playing bingo at the St. Albans Senior Center.

Survivors include two sons, Herbert and his wife, Pat Butler of Brattleboro, Larry and Shirley Machia of Sheldon; two daughters, Helen Gilman of St. Albans, and Joyce and Larry Bosley of Richford; a sister, Elizabeth Begnoche of Naugatuck, Conn; a son-in-law, Thornton Machia of Highgate; 33 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, William, she was predeceased by a son, Fred Butler; a daughter, Frances Machia; two brothers, Paul and Clarence Hakey; and two sisters, Sylvia Cota and Arlene Paquette.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Louis Church in Highgate Center. Interment will be in the family lot in St. Louis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The St. Albans Senior Center, Messenger Street, St. Albans Vt. 05478. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 So. Main Street, St. Albans.
