Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 2, 1980 at 11 a.m. in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by Dr. R. E. Brittle and Rev. Allen R. Blakney. Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk.

She was predeceased by her husbands, George William Privott and Johnny W. Speight, and a daughter, Deborah Ann Speight. Margaret is survived by her daughters, Sandra Privott Chandler (Chuck), of Orlando, Fla., and Janet Speight Davidson (Steve), of Suffolk; grandchildren, Kelly C. Manfredi (Sal), of Anderson, S.C., Kevin Davidson (Joy), of Wilmington, N.C., and Derrick Chandler (Rosa), of Orlando, Fla; great-grandchildren Zachary Stevens, Clover Davidson and Kevin “Knox” Davidson Jr; and a sister, Hazel Babb Sadler, of Suffolk.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Willis Dowling and the Rev. Chris Surber officiating. Burial will be held after the service at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may join the family other times at the home of Steve and Janet Davidson. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
