Along with his wife, Mr. Lassiter is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Anne Lassiter of Chapel Hill; a brother, Charlie R. Lassiter of Sunbury; and a host of other family members and friends too numerous to list, all of whom loved him very much.
A service to honor Mr. Lassiter will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with The Rev. John F. Eberman officiating. Burial will take place in the prayer garden. The family will be receiving friends at their home on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., and immediately following the service in the church Parish House. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Caring House, 2625 Pickett Road, Durham, NC 27705.

Kelly was born a daughter to Catherine Knapp Berry and Dale Simpson in Littleton, N.H. She graduated from Lisbon High School and received her Master's Degree from Johnson and Wales University.
She was employed by Engraving Awards Gifts in Laconia. She spent all her spare time with her daughter, Piper, whom she adored.

Surviving family members include her husband, Marcus Connell and her daughter, Piper Raye Connell of Laconia; her mother, Catherine Berry of Landaff, N.H; her father, Dale Simpson and Fayone, of Colebrook, N.H; her brother Craig and his wife, Heidi of Lyman, N.H., and their four children; her grandmother, Bertha Knapp of Landaff; her step-father, Wally Berry of Lisbon, N.H; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Sept. 12, at the Shared Ministry White Church on Main Street in Lisbon, at 11:30 a.m., with Rev. Lyn O. Winter officiating. Burial services will be private for the family only.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kayrae Memorial Fund for the benefit of Piper Raye Connell, to any Laconia Savings Bank, or mail to Laconia Savings Bank, 62 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
