ObituaryNov 6, 2012  OBITUARY: WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Richard "Dick" C. Leach, Jr., 69, of West Palm Beach, died on Oct. 22, 2012, following a brief battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Richard C. Leach Sr. and Jean (Hubbard) Leach.

A nearly lifelong resident of New Hampshire, Mr. Leach was born in Nashua on June 29, 1943, and was raised nearby in the small town of Litchfield. A former resident of Manchester and Hooksett, Mr. Leach retired to Florida nearly nine years ago.

An avid car racing fan and a one-time racer, Mr. Leach translated his love of cars into a career in the automotive services industry, where he managed auto body shops for car dealerships all over the state, including Sexton Motors, MacMulkin Chevrolet, Banks Chevrolet, Nault's Ford and then AutoFair.

The devoted grandfather was also a serious fisherman, spending most of his free time fishing for largemouth bass in his favorite lake — Lake Winnisquam. And, when he wasn't fishing, or watching auto racing, he was rooting for Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox.

In addition to his longtime companion, Denise Favreau, Mr. Leach is survived by two daughters, Gail Leach Carvelli of Rumford, R.I., and Sarah Favreau of Muenster, Texas; two sisters, Margaret Rodonis of Litchfield, N.H., and Susan Drouin of Sherwood, Ore; a brother, James Leach of Rockland, Maine; two grandchildren, Jacob and Julia Carvelli of Rumford, R.I., and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held in New Hampshire in the summer of 2013.

ObituaryJun 25, 2016  OBITUARY: SUGAR HILL, NH -- Laurence (Larry) S. Ring, age 90, passed away peacefully on June 24th at Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverhill, NH.

Larry was born in Hanover, NH to Laurence S Ring (Sr) and Agnes (Trachier) Ring on November 5, 1925. He graduated from Stevens High School in Claremont, NH in 1943.

He enlisted and joined the Navy after graduation, where he served until the end of World War II. Larry attended the University of New Hampshire and graduated with a BS in Physics. He received his PhD in Nuclear Physics in 1955 from Iowa State.

In 1955 Larry accepted a job with General Electric at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in New York. His responsibilities included reactor design and safety. Larry retired from General Electric in 1983. He and his wife relocated to her home town of Sugar Hill, NH and built their retirement home themselves.

Larry was active in the town. He was on the board of selectmen and served as a trustee for the Sunnyside Cemetery in Sugar Hill.

He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanne (Aldrich). Larry leaves three daughters, Lauren, Babette, and Heather, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held on June 29th at 2:00 p.m. in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Sugar Hill, NH.
