Born on February 11, 1914, in Milton, Vermont, Glenn was the oldest son of the late John L. and Etta H. (Miller) Booth. On September 20, 1941, in Milton, Glenn married the former Barbara Campbell, who survives him.

Glenn was a 1932 graduate of Milton High School. He then operated a service station in Milton for Standard Oil. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942 and following his Honorable Discharge in 1946, he was employed by St. Albans Electric Appliance Company for 33 years, retiring in 1978. Glenn and Barb spent 20 wonderful winters in Florida. Throughout his life, he enjoyed golfing, spending time in the garden, "bird watching", and was a diehard Duke University Basketball fan, but most especially, he enjoyed dancing with Barb, his high school sweetheart and wife of 68 years. They both always say dancing keeps you young. Glenn's other great joy was the special times he spent with his family. He was a 58 year member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher for many years, was a member of the Phi Alpha Class, Chi Rho and the Wednesday morning Methodist Men's Group, member of Green Mountain Post #1, American Legion and a 68 year member of Seneca Lodge # 40, F&AM in Milton and Chittenden Chapter #59, O.E.S.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of St. Albans, their two daughters, Carol B. Mosher and her husband, Dale of Newport and Pamela B. Mosher and her husband, Barry of Fairfax, two grandchildren, Heidi Holland and her husband, Paul of Alpharetta, Georgia and Stephen Ellis and his wife, Kristy of Newport, his beloved great grandchildren, Manning and Zak Ellis and David and Livi Holland; several special nieces and nephews and special friends, Kim and David Charbonneau and Joyce Manchester. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Bray and her husband, James and a brother, Miller Booth.

Glenn's family will receive friends on Thursday April 8, 2010, from 11:00 AM until Noon at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church on Church Street. A funeral service will then be conducted at Noon with the Reverend Herman Benjamin officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be held on Thursday at 3:00 P.M. at the Booth family lot in Milton Village Cemetery.

Born on February 26, 1919, in Milton, Barb was the daughter of the late William O. and Mildred (Blake) Campbell.

On September 20, 1941, in Milton, Barb married Glenn E. Booth. Glenn passed away on April 4, 2010.

Barb graduated from Milton High School in 1936 and the University of Vermont in 1940. In 1955, Barb and Glenn moved to St. Albans, where for over 20 years she served as secretary for St. Paul's United Methodist Church, having done secretarial work most of her life.

Barb and Glenn spent 20 winters in Bradenton, Florida, enjoying square dancing, singing, the warm weather and visits from their family.

She was a 58 year member of St. Paul's' United Methodist Church, and active in the Phi Alfa, Chi Rho and Faith & Hope Circle of the United Methodist Women. She also was 60+ year member of Chittenden Chapter #59, Order of Eastern Star in Milton. Barb enjoyed reading, working on crossword puzzles and volunteering at the church. As an avid Red Sox fan, she was thrilled when they finally won the World Series. But the true love of her life was Glenn, her high school sweetheart and husband of 68 years and the hours they spent dancing to "their kind of music." As their family grew, she became more and more proud and loved the special times she spent with them.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol B. Mosher and her husband, Dale, of Newport and Pamela B. Mosher and her husband, Barry, of Fairfax; two grandchildren, Heidi Holland and her husband, Paul, of Alpharetta, Georgia and Stephen Ellis and his wife, Kristy, of Newport; her beloved great grandchildren, Manning and Zak Ellis and David and Livi Holland; several special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Barb was preceded in death by her stepfather, Harlie A. Perry, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, as well as best friends, Dorothy and James Bray and brother-in-law, Miller Booth.

Barb's family will receive friends on Tuesday January 4, 2011, from 11:00 AM until Noon at St. Paul's United Methodist Church on Church Street.

A funeral service will then be conducted at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be this spring at the Booth family lot in Milton Village Cemetery.

ObituaryJun 8, 2012  OBITUARY: ENOSBURG FALLS - Howard L. "Buzzy" Leach Sr., age 80, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington with his family at his side.

He was born May 10, 1932 in Enosburg Falls the son of the late Howard R. and Dorothy (Larabee) Leach.

Buzzy was a lifelong resident of Enosburg Falls and was a 1952 graduate of Enosburg Falls High School. He entered the U.S. Army serving from March of 1954 to December of 1955. Following his honorable discharge, he went to work on his father's farm which he eventually bought and farmed for many years. After Buzzy sold the cows, he ran the existing dump on the farm and began in earnest to develop the gravel pit that is still being operated by his son, Hank.

Buzzy had varied interests, including his fishing trips to Quebec with his family and friends and has many large trophy brook trout mounted to show for their efforts. He also loved and collected old tractors, and on his 60th birthday, the boys got all four running, the oldest being a 1927 John Deere. He was interested in coin collecting, as well as collecting clocks until he ran out of wall space for them. He experienced his long awaited trip of a lifetime to Alaska and loved every one of the more than 10 thousand miles traveled. In 1975 he built his "cabin in the woods" using trees from the spot where he developed the pond, which was where the old railroad spring was that was also the original Enosburg Village water supply. Buzzy spent many hours at the cabin and pond feeding the trout and enjoying the quiet.

He is survived by his wife, Louise (Blouin) Leach of Enosburg Falls; his sister, Charlotte Donlon of Enosburg Falls; his son, Howard L. "Hank" Leach Jr. of Enosburg Falls and his children Leanne her partner Eric Jette and their son Noah, Alyson, Matthew and Jake Leach; his daughter, Dorothy Childs her husband Jim of Montgomery and her children Hannah and her daughter Lexie, Hartley and Charlotte Hartman; his son, Patrick Leach of Enosburg Falls; several brothers-in-law, sisters-inlaw, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Buzzy was predeceased by his son, Jacob W. Leach on Nov. 25, 1995; his grandson, Joshua H. Leach on Sept. 7, 1996; his sister, Sabra Michel and her husband Anthony "Tony"; and his brother-in-law, Lawrence "Buster" Donlon.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Pastor Jon Bly officiating. Interment will follow in the Sheldon Village Cemetery. In keeping with Buzzy's wishes there will be no visiting hours.

ObituaryJan 8, 2009  OBITUARY: Anna Rogers, 96 years young, died peacefully on January 4, 2009, at the Valley Cares Assisted Living Home in Townshend, Vt. Anna was surrounded by her family.

Anna was born in Grafton, Vermont, the second child of Simon and Lucy Unwin. She grew up in Grafton and attended school there, later attending high school in Bennington, Vt., while living with her uncle and aunt.

Anna retired from Simmons Precision in Bellows Falls after 25 years of service. The company manufactured altimeters and other equipment for aircraft. She retired as a senior technician and was always being asked by engineering to assist in making prototypes for evaluation.

Her family and friends were very important to Anna and she was constantly in demand to make mittens, hats, sweaters, socks, and crochet doilies. She made dresses for grandchildren and pretty much anyone who needed something she could craft, she would make it. All of Anna's grandchildren, as soon as they were born had a hat, sweater and mittens, next came the quilt and whatever she was working on for her next project. Everyone in her family had a kitchen full of potholders she made. Anna was an excellent cook and her pies and rolls were the hit every Thanksgiving, Christmas and any holiday meal.

At the age of 86, Anna was in the first Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. She later purchased a treadmill for home so she could continue to exercise. Anna volunteered for The Family Center in Chester two days a week until just before she turned 90 years old. At that time, she gave up driving and her car.

Anna is survived by her children, two sons, Lawrence Wright and George Wright, and two daughters, Frances Clark and Karen Orchitt; by eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Anna is also survived by three sisters, Shirley Eddy, Etta (Bunny) Bombard and Eleanor Lyon.

Anna was predeceased by her husband Calvin, and her grandson, Keith Wright.

It was Anna's wish to be cremated and buried with her husband in Chester, VT.

A Celebration of Anna's life will be held in May 2009 at the Andover Church.

Contributions may be made in Anna's memory to the West River Valley Cares Assisted Living Home, 461 Grafton Road, Townshend, Vermont 05353, for a hairdressing salon they need for people who can't get out easily.
