Born on June 27, 1923 in Albany, Vermont, she was a daughter of Antonio and Georgianna (Letourneau) Lussier and has lived in the Athol-Orange area for 62 years.
Marielle married her first husband, Germain LaRose in 1943 and enjoyed 24 years together until his death in 1967. In 1971, she married Paul Stone, who also predeceased her.
Marielle had owned and operated the Village Hardware Company in Athol from 1951 to 1966. During this same time, she also ran the Uptown Athol Post Office. She later went to work at the former Eastern Furniture Company in Athol in 1968 as a supervisor and retired in 1986.
Marielle is best remembered in the Athol-Orange area for serving as president of the Catholic Women's Club, AARP, American Legion Auxillary, member of St. Mary's Church in Orange, and as a tour guide for bus trips for local residents to vacation areas in the Northeast. She enjoyed cribbage as well as Bingo.
Survivors include her son, Tony LaRose, and his wife Carol, of Hanover, MA, and granddaughters, Amy and Kate LaRose, both of Hanover also.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 14, 2007 from 5:00-7:00PM at Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 10:00AM at St. Mary's Church, 19 Congress Street, Orange. Fr. William Lunney will officiate. Interment will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol, upper section off Horrigan Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to St. Mary's Church Endowment Fund, 19 Congress St., Orange, MA 01364.

ObituaryMay 30, 2002  OBITUARY: ST. ALBANS -- Mrs. Harriet L. Rocheleau, age 78, died peacefully at her home, Monday afternoon, May 27, 2002, following a brief illness, with her loving family at her bedside.
She was born in Swanton June 26, 1923, daughter of the late Era and Ella (Lashway) Mulheron. Harriet was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Unit 758 and the Women of the Moose, Chapter 321. Feb. 16, 1941, she married George Rocheleau.
Besides her husband of over 61 years, she is survived by her four children and their spouses John and Anna Rocheleau of Swanton, Linda and Hank Gadouas of St. Albans, Steven and Janice Rocheleau of Fairfax and Thomas and Linda Rocheleau of St. Albans; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Allen of Alburg and Rae Barney and her husband Gerald of Swanton; two brothers, Ezra (Zing) Mulheron, Jr. and his wife Lorraine of Swanton and Ralph Mulheron of Swanton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur Mulheron; and a sister Mildred (Mag) Brennan.
Beloved by everyone, especially all her grandchildren, she will be missed by all for her wonderful food and hospitality, great sense of humor and all the good times that she always made possible for anyone and everyone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. Interment will be in the Rocheleau family lot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

ObituaryJan 2, 2011  OBITUARY: Ezra James Mulheron, age 90 years, a lifelong Swanton resident died Friday afternoon, December 31, 2010, at the Vermont Respite House in Williston with loving family by his side.

Born in Swanton on November 30, 1920, he was the son of the late Ezra Sr. and Ella (Lashway) Mulheron.
He received his elementary education from the former Saint Anne's Academy and graduated in June of 1941 from Swanton High School. He played high school hockey and was known by his friends as "Zing: for his fast skating ability. On August 24, 1949, he married the former Lorraine Begnoche who survives him. Ezra was a Master Electrician, working many years for General Dynamics, Union Carbide Corporation and lastly IBM. He and his wife Lorraine have wintered for the past 23 years in Deland Florida.

Ezra faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps. during World War II. He enlisted in Montpelier, Vermont on June 29 1942 and received his basic training on Paris Island in S. Carolina. As the War continued he was transferred overseas and served at the Guadalcanal, Guam, Okinawa and Tsingtao, China until Japan surrendered. He received his honorable discharge on January 12, 1946 and immediately returned home to Swanton.

In addition to his wife Lorraine of 61 years, he leaves, his daughter, Brenda Holiday and husband David of Plattsburg, NY; two sons, Ezra Mulheron Jr. and companion Eleanor Casey of Huntington and James Mulheron and his wife June of Westford; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Nicole, Laura and Sharon Mulheron; two great grandchildren, RaeAnn Mulheron and Raymond Russell Dumont III; a sister, Rae Barney and her husband Gerald of Swanton as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was predeceased by two brothers Arthur Mulheron and Ralph Mulheron as well as three sisters, Mildred Brennan, Hazel Allen and Harriet Rocheleau.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 8, 2010, at 11 a.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 65 Canada St. Swanton. Father Thomas D. Nadeau will be the celebrant and homilist. The Rite of Committal and Interment with military honors will take place in the spring at Riverside Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours.
