Deanna had worked on several area dairy farms and had also waitressed and cooked at Phyllis’s Diner and Jim’s Place both in Sheldon and at the Dairy Center in Enosburgh. She enjoyed playing BINGO, cooking, going for rides, lawn sales and shopping. She will always be remembered for her willingness to help others. She is survived by her husband, Roger Carr of Berkshire. They were married July 30, 1980. She is also survived by her children, Ricky Thompson of Berkshire, James Thompson and his wife Sherry of Enosburgh, Cristal Allain and her wife Charlene Rivers of St. Albans, and Roger Carr Jr. of Berkshire; grandchildren, Justin & Sonya Thompson, Dakota Champagne, Ethan Carr, Krista, Ryan & Zach Russell, and Karrie Hall; a brother and his wife, Michael & Maggie Elkins of Montgomery; 2 sisters and their husbands, Maxine & Pete Farrar of Richford, and Janice & James Adams of Fairfield; mother-in-law, Ethel Carr of St. Albans; several nieces and nephews. Deanna’s family wishes to thank her special care-givers, Penny Hall & Dorothy Clair Funeral services will be held Thursday August 28, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Enosburg Falls. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the Spears Funeral Home in Enosburg Falls. He served our country in the US Navy. Richard was a quiet, witty, gentle man, and a gentlemen. He loved his family and had spent the last 23 years enjoying a more relaxed life in Florida with his wonderful wife of 60 years, Helen.

Before retirement Richard and Helen spent their lives working hard and planning for one of their greatest accomplishments, building their dream home, a beautiful log home on the mountains in NH. They worked side by side many long nights and week-ends building their dream home. It didn t happen overnight but they succeeded and what a home it was. There were many gatherings there (including a few weddings) with family and friends.

Richard also enjoyed golfing and reading. For all you that knew Richard, the husband, father, grandpa, brother and the friend, you should all have a smile on your face when you think back on any of the memories that you have of him ..that s the way he would want it!

Richard is survived by his wife, Helen Leahy, of Arcadia, FL, son, Michael (Karen) Leahy, of Claremont, NH, daughter, Paula (Kevin) Mannes, of Lake Worth, FL, sisters; Nancy Levesque, of Claremont, NH, Barbara (John) Putnam, of VT, Susan (Phillip) Pare, of Claremont, NH, Ann Williams, of NY, Donna Cornett, of NH, grandchildren; Jason Leahy, Brittany Leahy, Tyler Leahy, Jesse Minckler, Cody Minckler and great grandchildren; Blake, Brady, Maddy and Logan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ponger Kays Grady Funeral Home, Arcadia, FL. Online condolences can be made at www.pongerkaysgrady.com
