Their children were Edith Alma, Chester F, Alvin Freeland, and Ruth Marion.

On Apr 1, 1916 in Coos County, NH he divorced her for Adultery. This was ten days after Ruth was born. He remarried on March 20, 1917 and took his two children Edith and Alvin with him to California.

On March 17, 1918 in Guildhall, VT she had daughter Reta Elizabeth Hurlbutt. Clarence was always listed as her father, although that was impossible. He may not have considered Ruth his child either.

On Jan 22, 1921 in Concord, NH she had son Ralph Edward Nolan. His father was listed as Thomas Nolan, but I can't find a record that they married. In 1930 Ralph was incorrectly listed as Hastings, along with Ruth and Reta. His last name Nolan was in the 1940 census and on his SS application, which also listed his parents names.

On April 16, 1923 in Concord, NH she married Wesley Herbert Hastings, son of Oren Hastings and Mary Ann Davis. He was divorced from Gertrude May Grace; his children from that marriage were Newell H and Nathaniel Wesley. This was listed as Elsie's 2nd marriage.

Their children were Elsie (1931) and Loren Albert (1933).

They divorced before 1939. (On Wesley's death certificate in 1959 he was incorrectly listed as "never married").

On Jan 28, 1939 in Barton, VT she married William Alton/Elton Barney Weed, son of Arthur Barney Weed and Dora Anna Hoadley.

They had a son, Larry Bernard, in 1939.

Elsie was predeceased by husband Alton in Aug 1971; son Chester Hurbutt in Aug 1914, age 3; daughter Mrs. Reta (Hurlbutt) Wells in Sept 1936, age 18, Leukemia; son Loren Albert Hastings in July 1962, age 29, suicide; son Ralph Edward Nolan in May 1975; brother Earle Edward Rosebrook in March 1976; stepson Newell Hastings in July 1947, age 31, at Laconia State School.

Elsie died at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Glover, VT.

ObituaryAug 22, 2011  OBITUARY: Raymond Earl "Mike" Bussino of Lakeside, Navajo County, Arizona passed away peacefully August 21, 2011 at his home in Lakeside. He was 84. Mike was born April 11, 1927 in Rutland, Rutland County, Vermont to the late Will and Louise (Raymond) Bussino.

Mike enlisted in the United States Air Force in January of 1951 and served during the Korean Conflict. He was Honorably Discharged from the service in November of 1952. Mike was very proud of his service and enjoyed his many experiences while serving his country.

An avid fisherman he loved the outdoors and the beautiful White Mountains in which he called home. Mike worked for Woolford's Garage in Show Low for 22 years before his retirement. He loved working there and meeting many new faces.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Madeline Bussino of Lakeside, Arizona; daughter, Mary (Chuck) Szatkowski of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sons, Thomas (Lola Ann) Bussino of Phoenix, Arizona, Robert Bussino of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Michael (Megan) Szatkowski, Lola Rebecca (Eric) Dutcher, Thomas (Makenna) Bussino, Jr., James (Amy) Bussino, Christopher Szatkowski; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Isaac, Kaleb, James, Caleb, Natalie, Moroni, Mayla, Bryget, Jacen, Caera, Tristan; sister, Verna Weed of Vermont as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A memorial mass will be held 10:00AM Saturday August 27, 2011 at the Saint Mary of the Angel's Catholic Church, 915 S. Penrod Lane, Pinetop, Arizona with Fr. Daniel P. Daley to officiate.

Inurnment will follow in the Angels Rest Columbarium at Saint Mary;s with military honors by the Veterans of the White Mountains. A reception will follow the inurnment at the family's residence.
