ObituaryMay 5, 1964  OBITUARY: Mrs. Margaret Frances Ash, 55, wife of the late Robert H. Ash, died at Putnam Memorial Hospital this morning after a long illness. She was born in Shaftsbury June 24, 1908, daughter of Mrs. Mabel Shaw and the late Frank P. Harris.

Her schooling had been received in Bennington and later at Jackson, Mich. High School. The family later returned to Bennington. She had been an employee at Bennington Brush Co. and also at Ben-Mont.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. James E. Bartlett of Bennington; her mother, also of Bennington; one granddaughter, Miss Renelle Bartlett; two grandsons, Robert and Timothy Bartlett, all of Bennington; two half-brothers and three half-sisters, all of Wisconsin and also aunts and uncles.

The funeral will be held at Mahar & Son Funeral Home at 10:30 am Thursday. The Rev. H. Glenn Payne, First Baptist Church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home are tonight from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm when the family will be in attendance.

Christopher A. Knight , USAF and Samantha Pinckney; a brother, Lester Boardman of Pearl River, NY and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at a later date in St Mary's Cemetery.
