He was born in Winooski on March 4th 1941, the son of the late Marcel David and Madeline L. (Brosseau) Menard.

Paul graduated from Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington.

He served in the Merchant Marines.

He later became a Master Electrician working for several area companies, including IBM.

He was married to Linda Marie Forcier on October 1st 1966, in Christ The King Catholic Church in Burlington.

Among Paul's many interests, he especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal detecting, vacationing in Hampton Beach and Orlando, Fla., with his wife, daughter and grandchildren, annual hunting trips with his son, and endless early morning rides for coffee.

He was predeceased by his two sisters, Jean Therrien and Arnell Gero.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at 10 a.m. in St. Jude Catholic Church in Hinesburg.

Interment will follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery in South Burlington.

Arrangements by the Ready Funeral and Cremation Service, South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road in Burlington.

She was a graduate of Cathedral High School, Class of 1952. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish. Arnelle enjoyed her cats, working in her flower gardens and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Arnelle is survived by four children, Carlene Brown and her husband, Wayne, of North Fayston, Robert D. Gero and his wife, Mary, of Winooski, Gregory P. Gero and his wife, Judith, of Georgia, and Alan M. Gero and his wife, Kathy, of Enfield, Conn; seven grandchildren, David, Jayson, Marissa, Christopher, Robbie, Austin and Taylor; one sister, Audrey Gracey and her husband, Richard, of South Burlington; three brothers, Paul Menard and his wife, Linda, of South Burlington, Alan J. Menard of Lauderdale by the Sea, Fla., and Carl Menard and his wife, Carol, of Underhill; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a sister, Jeanne Therrien in 1984.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 7, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Burlington.

Interment will follow in New Mount Calvary Cemetery, Burlington.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ready Funeral and Cremation Service, South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road, Burlington.
