He was born in Burlington on July 1, 1933, the son of the late Harry and Mildred (Poquette) Langevine.

He was a 1953 graduate of Burlington High School. He served in the U.S. Army, and retired from the U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service in Burlington, after 30 years of service, on July 1, 1988. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting (he was a very proud lifetime member of the NRA), fishing, camping, riding his snowmobile with friends from the Hilltoper Snowmobile Club and golf. His hobbies included photography, painting, and the creation of beautiful, one of a kind walking sticks, which he loved to give away. He coached Little League Baseball and assisted the Boy Scouts. He was a registered member of the Abenaki of Mazipskwik and related bands of Native Americans.

He is survived by his cherished wife of 49 years, Kathleen (Kimball) Langevine; his loving children, Shane and wife, Cheryl, of Idaho Springs, Colo., Scott and fiancée, Dawn, of Eatonville, Wash., and Melissa of Lakewood, Colo. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Brittany, Joshua, Madison and Mackenzie; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Hotopp.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
