He was born In Oakland, Maine on July 20, 1928, son of the late Alexander and Sybil (Real) Vieta.
On July 8, 1953, he married the former Janet Cantell after returning from the Korean War. He was a longtime resident of East Highgate, raising five children and working at Rock-Tenn in Sheldon.
Aubrey leaves three sons; Gary and his wife Pat, Carl and his companion Diane Beauregard all of Franklin, Peter of St. Albans and a daughter Gail Bronchuk and her husband Daniel of Swanton; brothers, Alexander Vieta Jr. of Winslow, Maine and Edwin Vieta of Oakland Maine; 7 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Aubrey was predeceased by his wife Janet of 51 years; two brothers Louis and John Vieta; a sister Nellie McCann and a son Paul Vieta.
In keeping with Aubrey's wishes funeral services with full military honors will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Reverend Anne Torrance Bachmann will officiate.
Interment will be at the Vieta family lot in Saint Louis Cemetery, Highgate Center.

| Obituary | May 5, 2005 | OBITUARY: HIGHGATE CENTER -- Paul Glenn Vieta, 40, a lifelong Highgate resident, died unexpectedly, Monday, May 2, 2005, in his Lamkin Street residence.
Born in St. Albans, Feb. 9, 1965, he was the son of Aubrey and Janet (Cantell) Vieta. His mother Janet predeceased him on May 17, 2004.
For the past several years Paul has been associated with Rock-Tenn Missisquoi Mill in Sheldon Springs. In earlier years he had worked for Cambridge Mechanical. He was a professional musician and played lead guitar with the Lone Wolf Band and will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and four wheeling.
Paul leaves his father, Aubrey Vieta of East Highgate; a daughter, Rheanna Bushey of Highgate; his sister, Gail Bronchuk and her husband Dan of Milton, and three brothers, Gary Vieta and his wife Pat of Highgate, Carl Vieta of Franklin and his twin brother, Peter Vieta and his companion Lori Benoit of St. Albans; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2005, at 10 a.m. from the Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton. Father Maurice U. Boucher, SSE will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lamkin Street, Highgate Center. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the hour of the funeral. Gifts in Paul's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 11 Loomis Street, Montpelier, Vt. 05602-3021.

| Obituary | Jan 30, 2013 | OBITUARY: On this day the world has lost a great man. Leo Albert Trombly, age 90, of St. Albans, passed away January 29, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 12, 1923. He was one of eight children born to the late Joseph and Victoria (Poupore) Trombly.
Leo married Joyce Cantell, September 15, 1951.
The father of nine children, he retired after 30+ years at the Central Vermont Railway as a conductor on Amtrak while also working on the family farm on the Fairfax Road. Leo served in the US Marine Corps in World War II in the Asian Pacific Theater, 3rd Marine Division. In 1944 he was awarded the Purple Heart.
He did his Friday night "banking" at the legion every Friday. He was an avid cribbage player, teaching all, right down to the grandchildren. He loved his Kubota, gardening, and wood working for many years in his shop. Leo enjoyed many days cutting wood up on the hill with family at his side preparing for the winter months. At the end of a long day, he made one drink his own, his famous Manhattan.
Leo will be fondly remembered by his favorite saying, "It's a crazy world out there!"
Leo is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce, his children, Christine Awerdick and her husband Lawre of Ponte Verde Beach, FL., Cheryl Gordon and her partner Maurice "Bud' Greeno of Highgate Center, Gene Trombly and his wife Jill of Swanton, Michael Trombly and his partner Tina LeCours of Franklin, Claire St. Pierre and her husband Michael of St. Albans, Cathy Benware of Colchester, Joseph Trombly and his wife Samantha of Bakersfield, and Charles Trombly of St. Albans, Leo is also survived by his 21 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, his sisters, Mae Guilbault and her husband Joseph of St. Albans, Marie Crowley of N.H., and Anita Murphy of St. Albans Town, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, a daughter Carol MacWalters, his brothers Raymond, Michael, and Eugene Trombly, and a sister Rita St. Marie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, St. Albans, from 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday.
Interment will be in the Trombly family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

She worked right to the end, employed at Shaws Supermarket in South Burlington. She had many interests, to include camping, enjoyed campfires, and loved her dog Rosie. Her children were her life. May she now fly off toward the next great adventure.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children Natasha and Zachariah. She leaves her many siblings and their families, Christine Awerdick and her husband Lonny of Ponte Verde Beach, FL., Cheryl Gordon and her partner Bud Greeno of Highgate Center, Gene Trombly and his wife Jill of Swanton, Mike Trombly and his partner Tina LeCours of Franklin, Claire St. Pierre and her husband Michael of St. Albans, Cathy Benware of Colchester, Joe Trombly and his wife Mandy of Bakersfield, and Charles Trombly of St. Albans, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She also leaves John MacWalters, friend and former husband, John and Alice MacWalters, paternal grandparents of her children, a special sister-in-law Kim and her siblings Karen and Dan.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Chapel, with Father Maurice Roy officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home, 86 South Main St., from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Online condolences may be sent to her family at the funeral home website: www.bradyandlevesque.com.
