A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Damascus Christ-ian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Riddick Pearce. Visitation will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Monday at Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Damascus Christian Church of Sunbury, N.C., or to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary's St., Raleigh NC 27605.

Rev. Eure, a native of Gates County, was a retired United Methodist minister.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jaye Eure; his daughter, Aimee Jewel Eure; and his sister, Josephine Horton.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Boykin Eure; sons, Michael D. Eure and wife, Joyce, and Andy Boswell and wife, Kim; a daughter, Lea George; two granddaughters; three grandsons; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Edsel Eure; a sister, Eris Calimer; and several nieces and nephews.
