Lee grew up in Atlanta and graduated from The Lovett School and Rhodes College, where he was a member of SAE Fraternity. His childhood summers were always spent at Watch Hill, R. I. where the Schillings had a home by the sea. He was a huge Notre Dame fan, stemming from his grandfather's football days at this beloved school. Lee was an accomplished professional photographer with an uncanny eye for seeing special things through a lens and began at an early age capturing beautiful images of the East coastal area. He also had a unique perspective for the composition of scale and content. Later working at Lake Tahoe Ski Resort he continued his love of photography by capturing the beauty of the West. His personal interests led him into a career of making wonderful pet photos along with jobs for special occasions and catalogs. Lee 's most significant passions in life were the happiness he had with his forever love, Leigh, their treasured dog Buster and cats Muffin and Cheeto and his extended family. Surviving are his life-mate Leigh Champion of Atlanta; mother, Diana Hickman Schilling of Atlanta; father, Lee H. Schilling and his wife Sharon of Lookout Mountain, TN; siblings, Reade Schilling, Brad and Carrell McAllister and Angela McAllister; niece, Hattie McAllister; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lee was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hugh and Pauline Riley Hickman; paternal grandparents, Joseph Valentine and Margaret Snow Schilling; uncle, Robert Hugh Hickman; and cousin, Richard Derek Hickman. A memorial service celebrating Lee's life will be held at 2 o'clock, Monday, the 9th of September at H. M. Patterson & Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd. NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service with a reception following. Memorial contributions may be made to Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption, 4874 S. Atlanta Rd. Smyrna, GA 30080 or a charity of your choice.

She was a justice of the peace serving on the Board of Civil Authority and Board of Abatement.

She is survived by her daughters Cathy Lowell and her husband Daniel of Barton, VT, Lisa Spooner of Norton, VT, grandchildren Robin Lowell and wife Nicole of Barton, VT, Thomas Lowell and wife Heather of Barton, VT, Zachary Spooner and wife Clarissa of Coventry, VT, Olivia Emerich and husband Luke, Dan Lowell and wife Trisha of Barton, VT, great grandchildren Meka and Tommy Lowell and Luca Spooner. She is also survived by her brother-in-law William Perkins of Westmore, VT and several nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by her brothers Donald, Nelson, and Bill Curtis and her sister Faith Perkins.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday May 14, 2022 at the Morgan United Church, 14 Meade Hill, Morgan, VT, with Rev. Michael Desena officiating. Her main focus was her family, her grand and great grandchildren were the love of her life. She enjoyed watching the birds coming into her yard and going out for breakfast every Saturday morning with Glennis and Gail.

She is survived by her children: Donald Carron and his wife Laurie, Julie Willigenburg and her husband Brian, Michael Carron and his wife Kerry Susan Butler and her husband George and Matthew Ormsbee, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, by her sister Glennis Barry and her husband Tom, sisters-in-law Gail, Rae and Shirley and by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by the following siblings: Melvin, Raymond, Leo, Edward and Merle and by her step son Timothy Ormsbee and her sister-in-law Mary.
