ObituaryNov 19, 2010  OBITUARY: ST. ALBANS - Mrs. Doris Cota Thibault, age 98, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010 in the St. Albans Health Care and Rehab Center after a lengthy illness.

She was born Aug. 26, 1912, daughter of the late George and Hattie (Wells) Cota.

She attended school in St. Albans. She married Raymond Thibault, and Mr. Thibault died Nov. 11, 1973.

Doris worked as a sales clerk at J.C.Penny for many years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 321, the Ladies of St. Anne, the Holy Angels Bingo Committee, and Mother's Club. She was a communicant of Holy Angels Church and St. Mary's Church in Franklin. She enjoyed crocheting, Bingo, and playing cards, but her whole life she was devoted to her family.

She was predeceased by her parents and husband, along with her son, Robert Thibault; a daughter, Pauline Douglas; an infant daughter, Mary Thibault; a son-in-law, Reginald Rice; her brothers, Alfred, Arthur, Andrew, Harold, Donald, George, and Herman Cota; and sisters-in-law, Olivia and Madeline Cota. She is survived by her children, Jeannette Rice of East Highgate, Lorne Thibault and his wife, Judy, of Monkton, and Carol Thomson and her husband, Robert, of Pittsford, N.Y; 16 grandchildren; 35 greatgrandchildren; 7 great-greatgrandchildren; a daughterin-law, Gerda Thibault of Swanton; a brother, Leo Cota and his wife, Anna, of Swanton; and sisters-in-law, Bernice Cota of Burlington and Mary Cota of Bridgeport, Conn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, in Holy Angels Church. Interment will follow in the Thibault family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 So. Main St., from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home and Commemorative Services.
