OBITUARY: Thomas A. Hoffler, 92 years of age, of 2239 Glasgow street died at his residence at 7:10 this morning after a lingering illness.
Surviving are two sons, P. H. Hoffler and J. P Hoffler, both of this city; twenty three grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The deceased was a member of Gatesvills, N. C., Baptist Church.
The body was removed to Snelling Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Published in The Portsmouth Star – Tuesday, January 7, 1936

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Snellings Funeral Home for Thomas A. Hoffler, 92, of 2236 Glasgow street, who died yesterday morning later a lingering illness. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
