Friends may join the family from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad.

Mrs. White was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Christian Church since 1952, where she was active with the Mary Sue Brittle Sunday School Class and the Johnson Circle.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Rupert T. White Jr. and Tanya J. White of Wakefield, Va., and Ronnie H. and Cindy N. White of Leavenworth, Kan; five grandchildren, Cindy Ketcham, Donna Ross, Charles T. White, Brian White and Brandon White; two stepgrandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Dean Ketcham and Dwayne Ketcham; and a sister, Thaddus Pate of Suffolk.
A funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell and Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Jonathan Palmer officiating. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at 122 Springfield Terrace, Suffolk.
