She graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy and attended Rutland Business College.

Mrs. Kievra was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Danby.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Church of Danby; a son, Robert Kievra of Holland, Mass; a sister, Carolyn Gaiotti of Danby; a brother, Andrew Gaiotti Jr. of Danby; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sons, John Kievra and Michael Kievra, both in 2002.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Wallingford-Aldous Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in St. Jerome's Cemetery in East Dorset.

Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

She loved reading, writing poetry, and dancing. She was very fond of cats. Family was very important to her.

Phyllis is survived by her son Denny Gaiotti and his wife Cindy of Whiting, Vermont, her brother Ira Allen of Westford, Vermont, her grandchildren Dan Gaiotti and his wife Melanie of Salisbury, Vermont ,and Don Gaiotti and his wife Gina of Johnson, Vermont, and her great-grandchildren Josie, Alice and Sawyer Gaiotti. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles V. Gaiotti on March 5, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her brother Russell Lockwood, Sr., and her sisters Nola Griesen, Carole Kasuba, Grace Storey and Doris Lockwood.

Funeral services for Phyllis will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Brewster & Shea Funeral Service 34 Park Place, Manchester Center, Vermont. Interment will follow in the family lot in Factory Point Cemetery in Manchester. There are no visiting hours.

He was born December 22, 1927, the son of Peter A. Gaiotti Sr. and Angelina (Basso) Gaiotti in Mount Tabor, VT.

Peter worked for Vermont Marble Company in Danby for 30 years, and then 17 years for General Electric in Rutland, prior to his retirement.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Wallingford.

Peter loved to do things for the family and friends, and enjoyed hunting and fly fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Priscilla M. Gaiotti; his five children: Frances Baker and her husband, Ronald Baker Sr. of Danby; Richard P. Gaiotti and his wife, Pam of Danby; Nate Gaiotti and his wife, Terry of Wallingford; Audrey Holloway and her husband, Craig of Newport News, VA; and Teresa Gaiotti and her fiancé, John Ortega of Land O' Lakes, FL; two brothers, Charles Gaiotti of Danby and Edward Gaiotti and his wife, Linda of Glens Falls, NY; a very close family friend, Rita Hansen of Rutland; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, an aunt and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Gaiotti.

Friends may call Sunday, January 5, 2014, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Wallingford-Aldous Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 6, at St. Patrick's Church in Wallingford. Burial will be at a later date in the Danby-Scottsville Cemetery.
