She graduated in 1934 from Murdock High School.
Mrs. Breton was an inspector at New Hampshire Ball Bearings Inc. before retiring in 1975. She was a member of United Parish, the Pearl McGown Hook Crafters Guild, the ATHA Association of Traditional Rug Hookers, the Toy Town Rug Hookers and the Clark Memorial Camera Club. She was a former Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed rug hooking, knitting and crocheting.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, in Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, in the funeral home. Donations may be made to Murdock Alumni Scholarship Fund, c/o Helen I. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Marion E. (Lee) McQueston; three daughters, Barbara A. Hunt and Jane E. Lake, both of Keene, and Nancy L. Lucius of Baldwinville, Mass; a sister, Dorothy E. Breton of Winchendon; three grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Winchendon, son of Frank S. and Helen M. (Pierce) McQueston, and lived in Keene since 1965. He graduated from Murdock High School in Winchendon in 1940.

He was a superintendent at Kingsbury Corp. in Keene for 27 years, retiring in 1982. Previously he worked at the Baxter D. Whitney Co. in Winchendon. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Gordon-Bissell Post 4 American Legion in Keene.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Riverside Cemetery in Winchendon. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Monadnock Region, 64 Main St., Keene, N.H., 03431. Fletcher Funeral Home, 70 Pleasant St., Winchendon, is directing arrangements.

ELLENTON, Fla. — Linda D. (Breton) O’Brien, 65, of 6851 Coconut Grove Circle, Ellenton, Fla., formerly of Winchendon and Ashburnham, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in Manatee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, Fla.

She was born in Winchendon, Mass. on March 31, 1946, the daughter of the late Simeon and Dorothy (McQueston) Breton and had lived in Ellenton for the last eight years.

Linda had worked as a receptionist at MOC in Gardner and Fitchburg when she lived in this area. She was a graduate of Murdock High School. Before moving to Ellenton, she lived in Winchendon and Ashburnham for many years. Her hobbies included reading, crocheting, walking and playing with her dogs. She loved the sun, fishing, the outdoors and mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves two children, Grant S. Foisey of Fitzwilliam, N.H. and Justine L. Hull of Fitzwilliam, N.H; two brothers, Frederick Breton of Surry, N.H. and David Breton of Keene, N.H; one grandson, Kyle Hull; three granddaughters, Melissa Teto, Chelsea Teto and Kaitlyn Teto and several nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon at a later date.
